The 501 Control Unit is a high-quality full-function analogue preamplifier for use
with any traditional high-performance audio system. Often found alongside the
Meridian 556 power amplifier, 501 provides a flexible front end for a superb
sounding two-channel system.
The 501 Control Unit combines major advances in audio and engineering
design.
It is a high quality full-function preamplifier for use with high performance
analogue sources. It provides six audio inputs, each of which can be individually
adjusted for sensitivity, and identified on the four-character alphanumeric
display. A high quality MC or MM phono stage is available as an option for the
dedicated LP input.
